Chat Groups
Hi-5
Hi-5 is our sensory communication group. The structure of the session remains the same each week and we use props and music to awaken our 5 senses. We are building on our ability to notice and respond to stimuli, our early choice making skills as well as showing our understanding of the session routine through clear anticipative actions.
Tiny Talkers
This session is for our children with developing spoken language and Gestalt Language Processors. We use symbols and communication boards to scaffold their language and give them the opportunity to express themselves in a smaller, calmer social situation. We base our sessions around games and music and introduce new core vocabulary each week.
Communication in the Community
This group aims to support our children, with personalised communication systems, to be confident using them out in the community. We will be modelling how to make orders in cafe, ask questions and interact with a range of people.
