Friday 23rd May, 2025

We all woke up knowing it was the last day of our holiday.  After breakfast we all played out while the bus was loaded with all our luggage.  We had a slow journey up the M6 but were excited to have our lunch at Banny's.  We all enjoyed our lunch at Banny's before returning to school and being excited to see our families again. 

We all had an amazing week and I want to say a huge thank you to all the staff and children for creating such a special week with special memories.  

Thursday 22nd May, 2025

Everyone had another good nights sleep and enjoyed another lovely breakfast.  We set off to the Blue Planet Aquarium and were very excited to see lots of different fish and the sharks being fed. We were having such a good time and there was so much to see (including the dinosaurs outside) that we decided not to rush off and go bowling. 

When we got back we got changed into our PE Kits and enjoyed a wonderful hour in the gym at Wingates.  

For tea we have curry, rice, naan and ice cream sundae and it was delicious.  We said a huge thank you to the cook who had cooked all our wonderful evening meals. 

After tea we enjoyed a final evening playing out before showers and watching the rest of our film.  Lots of the children asked to go to bed tonight - exhausted from a busy but enjoyable week. 

Wednesday 21st May, 2025

Everyone had a good nights sleep and woke up ready for a busy day out at Trentham Gardens. The weather was perfect for a day out.  One group went for a long walk around the lake while another group had a walk around some of the gardens before going to the playground. The group walking around the lake arrived back at the playground in time for a picnic lunch.  We then played some more before some unexpected rain.  We sheltered from the rain for 10 minutes before it stopped and we walked back to the buses.  When we got back we played out before a surprise tea. 

The Wingate Centre now have an outdoor wood fired pizza oven so everyone made their own pizzas and they were freshly cooked.  We enjoyed eating them outside and having a good play. 

After showers it was bedtime and everyone was looking forward to another amazing day tomorrow. 

Tuesday 20th May, 2025

We all enjoyed a cooked and continental breakfast this morning before setting off to Chester Zoo.

We split into 2 groups and explored the zoo seeing lots of interesting animals. Favourite animals included the penguins, rhinos, flamingos and jaguars. 

We met up at lunchtime and enjoyed our sandwiches. 

During the afternoon we all visiting the new Heart of Africa area of the zoo before heading to the shop to buy a gift. 

When we got back to Wingates we played out before tea.  For tea we had burger, chips and onion rings followed by fruit or Eton Mess. 

Monday 19th May, 2025 

The journey to The Wingate Centre was very good and the children were all excited as we arrived.  We all ate some lunch and then played out while the luggage bus was being unpacked.  The children were excited to find their rooms and unpack.  We then played out again before heading off to Snugbury's for an ice cream and a walk to see Paddington Bear. 

We played out for a little longer and then had tea of Sausage, Mash (or chips) and vegetables with Chocolate Cake and Custard or fruit for pudding. 

After tea we played out again and then had showers before watching some of Happy Feet.  The children are all settled in bed.
